Description
When W.D. Gaster was applying to become the Royal Scientist, he had to prove his intelligence and worth with a project. So, he decided to create life, hoping that his work could be used to expand the Monster Army when the eventual war with the Humans occurred again.
Believing himself to be the last Skeleton monster, he decided to create another one. As a machine imbued magic into a piece of his hand to create a Monster Soul, he began to build an artificial Monster. Since his intent was to create a Monster for war, he gave this artificial Skeleton several abilities, from x-ray vision, to invisibility, to a computer brain.
However, once his project was complete, Gaster felt regret. In his excitement to create life, his project, "Sans", was unstable. Once King Asgore reviewed his project and accepted him as the Royal Scientist, Gaster removed the soul from "Sans"'s body and locked him away deep under Hotland, later building the Core over his prison.
"Sans", thanks to his computer brain, stayed active after the soul was removed, and, as he sat, trapped and alone, he grew furious at his creator for abandoning him.
Not long after the Monsters were freed thanks to Frisk, Asgore asked Frisk to return to the Underground and check on Gaster's project, still locked away under the Core. However, in doing so, Frisk accidentally released this "Sans".
Still unstable and furious at being replaced by another Sans, Beryllium has vowed to prove he's the REAL Sans by killing the others... Every. Last. One.
Abilities:
X-Ray Vision: He has permanent X-Ray vision, so he wears a helmet to cancel it out.
Invisibility: He can turn invisible. However, since his helmet isn't part of his body, it stays visible, so he has to take it off to make full use of his invisibility.
Computer Brain: His brain is a computer, so he can process things faster and more efficiently than normal brains can. This doesn't necessarily mean he's smart, though.
Magic: He can use Bone Magic and Gaster Blasters. He has a "special weapon" he can create by attaching Gaster Blasters to each side of a bone and using it as a staff.
Beryllium Infection: Since his Magic is unstable, his bones can infect the magic of other Monsters, transforming them and making them susceptible to his commands. He doesn't know how to control it, however.
Endless Sickle: Given to him by Error Sans, this Sickle can tear holes in spacetime to bring him to other AUs. Error sees Beryllium as a way to get rid of other Sanses, the main obstacle to destroying AUs.
